Incident-packed Rally México start explained

Hyundai boss and rally leader Ogier give verdict on start to third round of WRC season

DirtFish’s Colin Clark and David Evans report from the Hyundai service area ahead of Rally México’s Friday afternoon stages, with the problems that hit pre-event favorites Ott Tänak and Dani Sordo having been key to how the first half of the day unfolded.

They get the verdict of team boss Andrea Adamo on a tough start for the squad that seemed to have the road position advantage going into this rally.

Colin also hears from rally leader Sébastien Ogier, and assesses how his Toyota team-mate Elfyn Evans is handling the new challenge of running first on this very dusty and rocky road.

Our reporters look at M-Sport’s strong start as well, with Teemu Suninen still withing striking distance of Ogier’s lead.
