Terry Grant To Perform at Red Bull Global Rallycross Seattle!Partners | September 18, 2014
World-renowned stunt driver and Guinness World Record holder Terry Grant will perform stunts in between on-track action at Red Bull Global Rallycross Seattle, to be held at DirtFish Rally School on September 26-27.
As a race driver, Grant has competed in various hot rod, saloon, and Legends races in multiple countries. His stunt driving career began in 1995, when he became the first person to leap from, and climb back into, a moving vehicle during a performance with Formula 1 driver Johnny Herbert for the BBC.
Over the past two decades, his performances have taken place at such marquee events as the Race of Champions and London Motorshow. He has also worked as a stunt coordinator or consultant on numerous productions, including Hot Wheels’ Double Loop Dare stunt, which took place before Red Bull GRC’s race at X Games Los Angeles in 2012.
Grant’s current production includes demonstrations of car control with multiple vehicles, including a TVR Tamora and 1937 Ford Sedan. His 15th and most recent world record was set in the latter vehicle last June, when he performed 39 donuts in only 100 seconds. This year alone, Grant has performed at Moscow City Racing, the Isle of Man TT, and the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Red Bull Global Rallycross Seattle will serve as the ninth and penultimate round of the 2014 Red Bull GRC season. The event will also mark the series’ return to DirtFish, which hosted the second-ever Red Bull GRC event in 2011. An all-star cast of drivers including rallycross superstars Ken Block and Tanner Foust, ex-Formula 1 stars Nelson Piquet Jr. and Scott Speed, and action sports legends Brian Deegan and Bucky Lasek, will compete for the overall victory in two full days of racing action.
