Owen McAllister – 14-Year-Old Racing Driver

Uncategorized | January 28, 2019

Since its inception in 2010, DirtFish has quickly built a reputation throughout the racing community and has become one of the top driving schools in the world for learning advanced car control skills. Over the years, our instructors have trained drivers from many different disciplines, including road racing, off-road and desert racing, open wheel racing, NASCAR, rallying, and rallycross (and daily driving of course!). All of these drivers have seen a significant amount of success following their training at DirtFish, and they all excel when they are faced with adverse weather conditions.

On top of hosting established top-level professional drivers, we have trained many young drivers who are just beginning their racing careers: Conner Martell, Benjamin Pedersen, Gray Leadbetter and Garrett Archer to name a few. The latest driver that we can add to that list is Owen McAllister, who is a 14-year-old kart racer from Mooresville NC. He has won races from Atlanta to San Francisco and is now graduating to open-wheel race cars. Owen was selected as a finalist for the VMB Driver Development Scholarship and is planning to race Formula Mazda and Formula Speed in 2019 before graduating to Formula 4 in 2020!
