1965 Volkswagen Beetle Rally Tribute car! AKA Fast Eddy

I built this car from a rolling chassis and boxes of random parts over the past 4 years.  I sold my Porsche 914 Outlaw project and began this endeavor after spending two days behind the wheel at DirtFish in April of 2015!  After sliding around in the dirt I was hooked!

This car is meant to be a vintage ‘Barn Find’ Rally car with a deliberate aged appearance.  However, the Suby 2.5 L SOHC N/A motor provides 4x the original HP to the modified VW 4 speed transmission.

Koni Red adjustable shocks keep the Cooper Snow tires from bouncing around too much.  And CB performance disc brakes stop the added horsepower.

Vintage themed interior and exterior details bring you back to the 1960’s and what Herbie should have been!

New Five Day Program in December

Uncategorized | November 01, 2018

Have you ever wondered if we would combine our best selling Three Day Program with our Three Day Advanced Program? Well, we have done it and made it five days instead of six! This brand new Five Day Program is being offered December 10th through 14th, 2018 and will be taught in our rear-wheel drive Subaru BRZ school cars. This program will be an intense one and is truly for people who love to drive and just can’t get enough seat time! Covering almost every acre of drivable courses we have to offer over the five days, the program starts with the basics of weight transfer, left foot braking introduction, and providing a straightforward understanding of loose surface car control. The class will then progress through more advanced techniques like inducing and correcting slides, when and where to brake to maximize traction, straight line and trail braking, recognizing limits, driving real stage rally roads and overlapping pedal inputs with acute corners and linking corners. The ultimate payoff? The fifth and final day, where your new found talents are sharpened on an intense course that will be absolutely unforgettable!

This program is perfect for the diehard gearhead, the adventurer, and the bucketlister who wants to experience almost everything we have to offer in one program. Click the button below to book our very first Rear-Wheel Drive Five Day Program in December:

Prepping for Olympus Rally!

Motorsports, Uncategorized | May 16, 2018

Currently at DirtFish, we are very busy preparing our team and car to dominate Olympus Rally held in Shelton, WA this coming weekend. DirtFish Drivers, Sam Albert and Michelle Miller will be competing in the stunning DirtFish Limited 4WD Subaru STI. After an unfortunate end at Oregon Trail Rally with a fire in the engine bay and mechanical issues, there was quite a list of things to fix on the car, but with the help of Rocket Rally Racing in Squamish, BC and our dedicated team of mechanics working long hours, the car is ready to rock Olympus! Also competing at Olympus Rally will be DirtFish Lead Instructor Nate Tennis, DirtFish Instructor Travis Nease, DirtFish Driver, James Rimmer, Subaru Rally Team Drivers, Patrik Sandell and David Higgins, as well as DirtFish alumni’s Kevin Walsh, Ken Stanick, John Hill, Adam Kohorn, Mircea Marghidanu, Chris Miller and plenty more!

DirtFish is very excited to be the title sponsor of the Simpson Sort Yard Spectator Area this year, where our team will be busy BBQ’ing away all day Saturday! Hot dogs (with condiments of course), chips and drinks will be available for everyone! You wont be able to miss our team hollering over the megaphone, kindly asking for donations for our four designated charities. Thanks to the fans generous donations, we were able to raise over $600 at Oregon Trail Rally for Seattle Humane Society, Pushing Boundaries, Conservation Northwest and Encompass, and we would be ecstatic to double that at Olympus! We will also be selling retail with some brand new hoodies, so be sure to stop by and check out our merchandise!

Come one, come all to Olympus Rally 2018! Remember to bring cowbells and lawn chairs and be ready to cheer on all of the competitors. We look forward to seeing you all there!

DirtFish and Evergreen Speedway partner for 2018 Season

Snoqualmie, WA, March 27, 2018 – DirtFish is excited to announce a brand new partnership with Evergreen Speedway located in Monroe, Washington. As part of this partnership, up and coming NASCAR driver and DirtFish alumni, Garret Archer who competes in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series, will have a DirtFish themed car to compete in all year.

Evergreen Speedway is the only NASCAR track in WA State and has been ranked in the top ten tracks of NASCAR for the last seven years. Having DirtFish sponsor Garret Archer in the NASCAR Super Late Model division is awesome! Other opportunities for cross promotions and special events for both facilities are going to be fun. We look forward to working with the DirtFish team for many years!”

DirtFish General Manager, Malli Sheaffer states, “Evergreen Speedway has been on my radar for quite some time and I am very happy our partnership finally came to fruition. With the success that Evergreen Speedway has today being host to Formula Drift, NASCAR, regional racing series like SCCA, USAC, NSRA among others, and DirtFish’s involvement with multi-faceted motorsports and drivers, it just made sense for us to join forces and see what we can accomplish together!”

About DirtFish

Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range and just a mere 30 miles from Seattle in the scenic town of Snoqualmie, WA, DirtFish Rally School was established in 2010 with the idea that the exciting sport of rally should be accessible to everyone. More than just a rally school, DirtFish recognizes that advanced car control skills taught on loose surfaces like gravel and mud directly translate to track, desert, autocross or street driving. Professional DirtFish instructors pride themselves in teaching car control, confidence and safety behind the wheel through various driving techniques built from the roots of rally. From 15 years of age with a learner’s permit, all the way up to the sophisticated age of 90, DirtFish has a program for everyone!
