Winston de Wardt

Instructor

Winston’s first taste of motorsport came at Laguna Seca, California back in 2002, where he attended the Skip Barber racing school. From there he went on to compete in the Formula Dodge National Championship series earning numerous podiums, poles, most improved driver, and finishing 4th overall in the 2004 season. He has raced karts in the Rotax Max Championship and qualified to compete in the 2007 Grand Nationals. 2005 saw Winston receive a spot in a driver development program that took him to Britain to test Formula Renault in Europe. Winston is a 3-year veteran instructor at the Bridgestone Winter Driving School, which gave him the opportunity for endless miles in his Subaru on their frozen tracks. He grew up with a British father, watching F1 for years, so Winston knew his destiny was in motorsport. His future plans and ambitions are aimed at the world of Drifting with a goal to compete in the Formula Drift Championship. Having met and instructed the 2011 champion Dai Yoshihara at DirtFish only fueled his passion more.

Quote: “There is no better feeling than seeing someone enjoy what you love as much as you. It’s the thrill- it is so exciting to slide a car around feeling as if it is out of control, yet being in control.”
